The strength of our work is grounded in our ability to build strong relationships with young people, their families, and the community. YEP is an organization founded on the principle of caring for one another, so relationships are at the heart of everything that we do. Youth advocates also act as liaisons with family members, teachers, and other adults in a young person's life.

YEP participants receive youth advocacy and are paired with an adult youth advocate and mentor who is trained to provide supportive services, assistance with basic needs, and individualized goal setting. The staff who provide these youth advocacy services not only prioritize building close and trusting relationships with young people, but are also able to help provide participants with the support needed to navigate systems and access essential services. YEP does have a unique approach to the mentorship that we offer to young people by providing holistic and individualized case management services in addition to relationship-based mentoring services.
